All at Compass Project Consulting are over the moon to have been awarded the Sub-Consultancy of the Year accolade and Project Manager of the Year accolade, for Associate Hamed Parnian, at the Construction Week Awards 2020!  

The glittering event, held at the Marriott Marquis Dubai on the 9^th of December, was an incredible (and rare chance by 2020 standards!) to get together with the best of the MENA construction industry, and recognise the achievements and contributions, by many great people, over the past 12-months.

As a turn-key construction and fit-out Project Consultant, we have continued to provide the same expertise Project Owners and Lead Consultants expect of us, and most importantly, have been able to easily flex with them, to help meet the re-routed and circumstantial challenges 2020 has brought.   

Our Team based in our Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Jeddah offices have continued to deliver industry-leading Project and Cost Management services, throughout the UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Oman, Bahamas, Seychelles and even Mexico, demonstrating agile adaptabilities’, resourceful resilience, and generous growth within individuals and organisation. 

We have also been fortunate enough to expand our Project Progress capabilities and experiences, plugging gaps within the project development life-cycle for developers and our consultant peers, by offering Dispute Resolution, Project Funding, and Distressed Assets Evaluation. 

The judges praised our “contribution to the industry’’ and said that they were “particularly impressed with Compass’ collaboration with lead consultants to ensure projects were delivered”.

They added that “Compass Project Consulting has also successfully completed a wide range of works, whilst maintaining continuous growth, as well as repeated business and positive testimonials’’.

Commenting on picking up the honour, Compass Project Consulting’s director, Martin McLean said: “It is humbling indeed to be recognised during these difficult times. The industry has really stuck together during these nine to twelve months. We couldn’t have done this without our Team”.

Compass Director Claire Tromp told Construction Week: “It’s been a challenging but a prosperous year, but we’ve managed to emerge through to the top. Throughout it all, our backbone has been our Team”.

Our very own Associate, Hamed Parnian, scooped the big prize, securing acclaimed Project Manager of the Year nod against a shortlist of 7 exceptionally strong candidates!

Judges commended Parnian for his “his hands-on approach” to project management and his “huge impact on all levels of stakeholders on his projects’’.

Commenting on the achievement, Parnian told Construction Week: “It’s definitely been a year to remember. It’s been tough for a lot of business, and yet such times have allowed firms to be more creative. 2020 has made everyone work closer together. We’ve become more compassionate within our teams, with our clients, and the peers that we work with”.
