Compass Project Consulting, a MENA based integrated Project and Cost Management Consultancy, has announced the successful opening of two VOX Cineplexes in Riyadh, within the past month.  These leisure and entertainment destinations can be found at The Roof Mall and Al Qasr Mall.

Compass is providing integrated services for the roll-out of VOX’s pioneering passage into the Kingdom, overseeing the Design Management, Cost Management, Procurement, Health and Safety and Fit-out of multiple Cinema Complexes in the Kingdom.  Although the mix of facilities differs between each location, typically one will find auditoria, Food and Beverage kiosks, public circulation areas and others will also enjoy family entertainment venues, such as Magic Planet and Bowling alleys.

Movie-goers can enjoy a 15-screen multiplex at Dar Al Arkan’s Al Qasr Mall in Riyadh – with a total seating capacity of 1,294, including the signature KIDS and MAX experiences and an eight-lane Bowling alley.  Within the Roof Mall, the venue will seat 553 people and feature 8-screens that offer signature luxury and family-friendly concepts including KIDS, a new VIP cinema concept, and standard screens.

Utilizing Compass’ expertise in connected coordination, the Teams across the UAE and KSA have progressed the developments, aligning the UK based Design Team, a plethora of specialty global suppliers, and multiple contractors within a developing supply-chain.  Amongst one of the Team’s proudest accomplishments was the timeous delivery to programme and completion to schedule, despite numerous challenges and latent conditions.

As the largest cinema operator in the region, VOX offers an innovative range of cinema concepts to enhance the cinema experience.   These successful openings put VOX right on cue within their anticipated overall expansion plans for the Kingdom, which includes the opening of 600 screens over the course of the next five years.
